The name Stompa is renouned throughout Europe for high quality, design led childrens furniture. This is not a reputation that has developed overnight – Stompa started manufacturing children’s bedroom furniture in Norway way back in the 1960’s.
There have been many changes in children’s furniture in the 50 years that have passed since Stompa’s formation. Bigger or smaller homes, more or disposable family income, bigger or smaller families or starting a family earlier or later; all of these factors have influenced the home and in turn this has influenced Stompa’s business over the decades.
However, through it all, Stompa remain true to their simple business philosophy

Throughout the years, many manufacturers have tried, and failed to copy Stompa’s cabin beds, bunk bed and high beds. To prove a point, the Stompa Rondo 2 and Stompa Casa 4 have been best sellers throughout Europe for the past 10 years and are now available in Ireland
In the early 1980’s, Stompa products were introduced to the UK. A little later, Stompa arrived in Ireland. For 30 years, kids in the UK and Ireland have been enjoying sleepfull nights in a Stompa bed.
2010 brought a number of changes for the Stompa organisation. The range of products was completely redesigned while retaining the core best sellers and is now available in furniture stores in Ireland. Customers helped in recreating a range of products which were up to date, design led, but still practical and competitively priced.
For 2011, Stompa is offering it’s Next Generation Stompa Rondo and Stompa Casa ranges, as well as a selection of complimentary furniture.
